From 51 Acres:
51 Acres will be joining our friends Groove Movement down at First Friday tomorrow (6/03). We will be a couple of blocks away from Blue Star Art Complex at St. Joseph's Hall and music starts early around 7:30pm. Just walk a few blocks away and listen for some funky grooves...you will find us.
Then on Saturday we open up a huge show at Jack's Patio Bar called Skunkfest with Dog Men Poets, Mingo Fishtrap and Skunkweed. We play first and very early around 5pm so join us for a few cold ones...and then,
We make our way down to Main and Ashby (SAC area) fora private party that I believe anyone can come to (not so private). We will start the music around 9:30pm and go until we are asked to stop. You can park in the SAC parking lot and walk across the street.

It's June, so that must mean the SPURS are headed to the NBA Finals again! Is that cool or what that we have one of the best basketball teams in the world right here in our city! We've all been glued to ours TV's as much as everyone else has, so with a looong break before the Finals, why not come out and join ALTER EGO at THE ROXY, 3249 WURZBACH (across from the Ingram Park Mall) at 9:30 P.M. FRIDAY JUNE 3!
This very cool Northwest side club is well known for great atmosphere, great drinks and a fantastic bar staff. It's just the place to go if you want to throw darts, play pool, or just enjoy some live music. Playing at the Roxy is like a homecoming for us, so we always have a great time there. We'd love to see you there on Friday!
On Saturday, we're playing at a private party up in Austin, hired by a couple who saw us play at one of the local clubs. If you're looking for a band for your party, give me a call at 210-325-2432. We're booking for August right now, as we are planning on taking almost the entire month of July off to concentrate on learning a bunch of new songs! Our price for playing a party is very reasonable and we are totally self-contained with full sound and lights. We show up on time, we don't take overly long breaks, we treat our frinds and fans witrh respect, and generally give you a great deal for your money!
