After taking a month off to rest, relax, learn new songs and re-acquaint ourselves with our families, ALTER EGO can't wait to get back to rocking out all over San Antonio! I know we definitely all feel refreshed and we've come back with new songs by System of a Down, Fuel, the Ramones and more! We'll be adding more as we go along, as we're in a regular rehearsal schedule now.
We'll be at one of our favorites places to play on FRIDAY, AUG. 5 ... the ROXY at 3249 WURZBACH, across from the Ingram Park Mall. Definitely a superior place to hang out, play pool or darts, chill with some cold ones and enjoy some live music ... that's LIVE, as in no samples, click tracks, playing along with a pre-reocrded CD or any of that "karaoke band" crap ... just real rock by real musicians, served up hot and juicy!
On SATURDAY, AUG. 6, we head over to the FIREHOUSE at 5380 WALZEM ... another great club over on the near northeast side. Great food, great atmosphere and staff make this a place you want to get to know better.
Mega-thanks to our great friend Rowan, the mistress of this very SA ROCKS blog, for giving us the idea of adding a shoutbox on our website at http://www.thebandalterego.com/ and starting a weblog! She's been very helpful to ALTER EGO and we enjoyed her and Staci's company at the Broadway Brewhaus and hope to see them again soon!
Speaking of online ... On our website, we recently went over the 10,000 hit mark ... thanks to all who come over to vist. We also broke into the top 5 at BarStar.com ... especially gratifying since the #5 band before wasn't even from San Antonio!
