I stopped in for a little while at 321 Max last night to check the place out and visit with Kel. While I was there, I caught an awesome jam on video: The Killing Floor playing "Voodoo Chile" with Larry Rimes' brother Tom sitting in on alto sax. It turned into a 10-minute improv jam - so cool! There are 5 clips from it on the Video Page. The lighting is pretty dim due to a lack of frontlighting, but the sound is great! Check 'em out!
321 Max, by the way, is a nice place. Good amount of seating, some pool tables, very clean, great service! I wasn't crazy about where they put the band. It's behind the dance floor, which is raised, but the band area is not raised, so it's lower than the dance floor. The dance floor also has rails around it, which kind of obstruct the view of the band. Other than that, it seems like a cool place.
