A quick run down of this past weekend. We played a couple of shows this past Saturday that were really good for us. Our good friend Al Berlanga helped us out with these two shows, since Alex was out of town. Big thanks to Al for his help and willingness to learn about 20 songs in 1 week...WOW!!
The 99.5 KISS Hooptie Car Show was hot but a great time and they really seemed to like us. We should be doing some more KISS events in the future. Thanks to Jennifer and Laura at KISS for all your help. Then that same night we partied really hard at the Cross-Eyed Seagull as we opened up for San Antonio's own Skunkweed. The place was packed, the crowd was great and we even had a few people show up that evening that were at the car show in the morning. Both shows came off great and we're ready to get back to it. The pictures, from both nights, are up on the website. Speaking of which, I have to give JJ some props for getting the photo page all put together. Man oh man, it's so good to finally get back to rockin' out on the weekends like we do. It always seems like forever, when we don't play a full show in more than week. Now we're ready to get to partying with you. Alex is back from his two week sabbatical to who knows where and we're gonna rock you the way only JD can. Our first stop is tomorrow night at Sky Lounge @ 5500 Babcock. This is a really good place to check out live bands and we really want you to be there. You should really try and come out there with us because this might be the last show for any top SA band there in a while. The management is thinking about doing away with regular live music there as they try to figure out a direction to go with the place. So let's show them that we really know how to have a great time and that JD should definitely be back there when they bring bands back.
Saturday, we're hitting up a new NW side spot for us. Bar Fly, located @ 7460 Callaghan Rd, is a cool little spot. The crowd there is a very nice one and we want to make sure to make a great impression as you always do. We love the support all of you give us...especially when we hit up new places. I'm sure you'll want this to be a regular venue for us so come on out and help us impress the management out there. Man it's great to be back!!!
