Our CD release is coming up this Saturday, July 29th at Ruta Maya Riverwalk in San Antonio, TX. The whole show starts at 10pm with
Snowbyrd kicking it off, a great rock band w/ lap steel guitar and psychedelic overtones. As written on their myspace, "The band draws on elements of Brit-Pop, Glam, Roots, and Electronica to create a sound very much their own. You can hear the Big Star, the Hoople, and the Clash--but you can't guess what's coming next. " After, Fred Himes and Roland de la Cruz from
Los Mescaleros will perform their usual brand of all original blues rock. Incidentally, Roland co-produced our newest CD and does fantastic work. Sexto Sol will take the stage sometime after midnight.
Also, don't forget that
J.J. Lopez (A.K.A. DJ Deepfeel) will be performing in between bands...spinning funk and soul 45's. Some of the groups J.J. spins were local to the area back in the day...always a unique experience and an education listening to J.J. and we're lucky to have him play with us!
