Cowboy Bar in Helotes Burned Down

I read in the paper today that the Cowboy Bar in Helotes has burned down, due to a fire started in a nearby laundrymat. Here is the statement from the Cowboy Bar's website:

It's a sad day for all of us.

Many of you have already heard. The Cowboy Bar as we know it is gone. Saturday Oct.28 sometime around 1:00pm. the laundry mat at the end of the strip center caught fire. The fire then progressed upstairs to the driving school then eventualy traveled down the roof and engulfed The Cowboy Bar.

Many of you were there to see our home away from home go up in flames, others have called or sent emails expressing their deepest sympathies. They are all appretiated! It wasn't just a bar it was a community of friend and family. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!

Whats next.... First we have to wait for the Fire Marshal to finish his inspection. Then the property owner has to decide what he is going to rebuild, and seek approval from Helotes city councel. Then construction can begin.

What does that mean for The Cowboy Bar..... We are going to rebuild!!! We have been bouncing around some options such as a temporary bar to get us through the rebuild also changing locations is another option. It is too early tos say when or where we will be back in business. It is safe to say WE WILL BE BACK!!!
