The Broadway Bar was the scene last night for a great Rock n Rescue. Eric Geyer, The Chris Lopez Band and Groovemovement played some great tunes but when it was all over and the judges tallied the score, Groovemovement was the winner.
Actually, Groovemovement was a "double winner" as it had the highest point total of all bands for the last few Rock n Rescues and will now open for the Classic Rock All Stars and Mark Farner on Saturday July 21st at the Sunken Gardens Theater. This will be the second concert in the AT&T Summer Concert Series. Rose Royce performed June 2 and coming up on August 25th, Blue Oyster Cult will perform followed on September 29th by War.
Proceeds from the Rock n Rescues and the AT&T Summer Concert Series go to help the City of San Antonio's Animal Care Services transition into a "no-kill" animal shelter.
Tickets to see Groovemovement and the Classic Rock All Stars and Mark Farner will be available at the Sunken Gardens Theater gate on July 21st. Tickets are $5 per person plus a $1 City of San Antonio surcharge which goes to help renovate the Theater.
Rock n Rescue will return after the July 21st Concert.
