ALTER EGO in U-City and Helotes this weekend

From ALTER EGO:
Alter Ego is putting the wraps on June in great style this weekend, after the HUGE wild blowout our friend Tiny had at Helotes Sportsplex last Saturday.
On Friday, June 29, we head back up to Universal City to TRIPP'S HUMOUR BAR, located at 210 E. Aviation, just off of Pat Booker Road, just before the Randolph AFB gate.
It's been a few months since we've played there and we're looking forward to the hospitality and friendly surroundings Tripp's is known for. Music begins at 9:30 p.m. and there's never a cover! There ARE always some cool drink specials going on and plenty of room and parking!
Then on Saturday, June 30, we head back up to Helotes for another fun evening at one of our favorite places, the HELOTES SPORTSPLEX, 17200 Bandera Road. Located just a few miles outside Loop 1604, come check out this hot new Northwest Side club.
Great folks, great service, friendly atmosphere! Let ALTER EGO keep your party going! Hill Country hospitality, a cool bar inside and outside and THE best looking bartenders you're going to find!
We're off next weekend, but great shows at the Soho Lounge, Roxy's, Pat O'Brien's and the Sportsplex next month.
Check out our Myspace or Web site to keep informed on where we're playing near you!

Rock n Rescue (The last one for June)

Rock n Rescue returns Wednesday, June 27th at Sam's Burger Joint at 330 E Grayson under Hwy 281. RnR will begin at 6pm and run until 8pm. There will be 3 bands competing including:

6:15 - BLACK FALCON
6:55 - EDEN BURNING

A 3rd band is currently being booked.

For those of you who have yet to make it to a Rock n Rescue. Come on. It's a lot of fun and it's a great opportunity to learn more about Animal Care Services' plan to become a no-kill animal shelter (there will even be pets at the Rock n Rescue).

If you've been to one, well, you know what's going to happen.

The live music is always great as the bands compete for the opportunity to open for the Classic Rock All Stars and Mark Farner at the AT&T Summer Concert Series July 21st at the Sunken Gardens Theater.

Here's hoping the judges have a tough time deciding which band is best.. that means we'll be in for a great night!

There's no cover charge and you'll have a great time.

Hope to see you there.

Comment on the Hot Tin Roof

Jinx would like to sincerely apologize whom we sent flyers and emails to and to my peeps whom I talked to about our show at "The Hot Tin Roof Bar & Grill" this past Saturday. Due to circumstances beyond our control our show was canceled due for reasons being as follows:

They preferred to book another band over us the night before we were supposed to play there. Now I know for a fact that we are not the only band whom fell victim to this B.S, I know of three bands whom also got canceled out for the same reason. This little message I'm sending out is for all of our band friends that have future bookings at this venue:

!!!Beware of the Hot Tin Roof!!!

and to all our fans whom were looking forward to hearing us once again on that night, here is their number and feel free to let them know of your displeasures. 210-657-9000.

Again, we want to apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused, but you have the number to this place and again feel free to show your displeasure.

ESE tears up The Rock Bottom, July 1

ALTER EGO & The Crossing @ HELOTES SPORTSPLEX for Tiny's Big Ass Birthday Bash Saturday June 23

From ALTER EGO:

After rocking the faces off of the great folks at the Iron Pigs Motorcycle Club National Meeting in New Braunfels last week, ALTER EGO heads up to Helotes for a HUGE party -- Tiny's Big Ass Birthday Bash -- at Helotes Sportsplex, 17200 Bandera, about 4 miles outside Loop 1604 on Saturday June 23.
It's SO huge it's gonna take two bands to cover the festivities!
From 6-9 p.m., enjoy The Crossing, and then at 9:30 p.m. until closing, ALTER EGO takes the new main stage and rocks the rest of your night at this hot club on the far Northwest side.
And when we say this thing is huge ... there's going to be Jello wrestling, bikes, a wet t-shirt contest, trucks, music, games, door prizes, a huge BBQ buffet, and who knows what else as the night develops ... open to everyone, so come on out! Wear your swimsuits and bring your squirt guns!
Lots of great shows coming up in July and beyond ... be sure to check our Myspace and Website for updates and send a friend request!
See you at Tiny's party!
