Some extremely sad news about our friends and their new band Crossroads.
Steve Cooper, their bass player passed away yesterday:(
We're rooting for you all and so sorry for your loss...
I started playing guitar at 9, and bass at age 10. Through my teenage years and into the 70's, I played in a band called the Redcoats. Our claim to fame was being recognized by Billboard magazine as the youngest rock n roll band in the midwest. I put the bass aside for many years to ride submarines in "uncle sam's yacht club" and raise a few future musicians and sailors of my own. But the itchin' never left my fingers. In my current life, I have played with local bands such as: Scratch, Sol Patch, Retrofit, & The Amazing Echoes until I met up with Crossroads, and the magic happened!
