P.E.A.C.E. in the Plaza An initiative for local empowerment! San Antonio, TX Sunday, October 19th, 2008 - The P.E.A.C.E Initiative, in conjunction with Texas Media Empowerment Project and Local 782, invite the community to attend P.E.A.C.E. in the Plaza, an all-day outreach event that is FREE to the public, featuring live music from 11 local acts, guest speakers, live art, a variety of vendors, a silent auction, a raffle, and plenty of activities for kids. The event serves as a benefit to raise funds for the Battered Women and Children's Shelter as well as a social awareness rally to educate the public about the domestic violence crisis in San Antonio. P.E.A.C.E in the Plaza is set to take place at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center Main Plaza located at 1300 Guadalupe St. from 1:00PM to 7:30PM.
