
Star Spangled Festival
The 30th Annual Star Spangled Festival will be at the Amphitheater grounds at Lackland Air Force Base, located next to the Gateway Club on Kenly Avenue, July 4.
Enjoy live entertainment all day, plus a "kidzone" tent filled with fun for children of all ages, a carnival, DJ tent, motorcycle and car show, arts and crafts show, paintball and much more.
The fest kicks off at 2 p.m. with
Monkeysoop and Mani Sierra at 2:45pm - other acts to follow are Toxic, Liberal, Electric Ocean, Dark Water, and Heather Leather, as well as dance troops and other entertainers.
The Wilburn Brothers and the Liberty Band perform live at the amphitheater beginning at 7 p.m. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
The event is open to the public. Entrance to the festival for non-military identification cardholders motorists is limited to the Gateway East Gate.
Military ID cardholders may use the other entrance gates.
No backpacks, coolers, weapons, video cameras or pets are allowed on the event grounds. For more information, call 671-3906.
