Skunkweed will break up permanently after this next show at Josabi's this Saturday April 10th!
This is not a joke. Tell everyone to come out and not miss the very last ever Skunkweed show.
Josabis is located on Bandera road 4 miles outside loop 1604.
For fourteen years Skunkweed has been preaching its gospel of tolerance, acceptance, racial harmony, happiness, drunkenness, and boobies.
Through our "music" and humor we were able to carve a niche in the local music scene that attracted like-minded people, such as yourself to come out every now and then, have a few beers, sing some songs, and make us feel like rock stars.
Some of my strongest friendships are a direct result of this band. I can count over two dozen on-stage marriage proposals, and am aware of at least two dozen more people that met their future spouses at one of our shows (including my own brother).
Countless friendships have been forged, and hundreds of one night hook-ups have beget (God knows how many illegitimate children)
We have traveled to far away lands like Austin, Houston, Corpus Christi, New Braunfels, Helotes, and Del Rio.
That's all Jay wrote for me. It was supposed to be a rough draft. But he never finished it. Maybe a more formal "good bye" letter will surface in the future.
Love, Skunkweed
