Cheech & Chong visit The Majestic Theatre, Saturday Nov. 20th

Cheech & Chong at Majestic Theatre, 224 E. Houston St., (210) 226-3333. They're not skipping San Antonio after all. The reunited duo, who sold out the Austin Music Hall in November, comes back through Texas on their "Light Up America ..." tour (which surely is not a sly drug reference). Shows at 7 and 9:45 p.m.

Tickets, $39.50-$59.50, go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 9 at Ticketmaster outlets, although pre-public-sale options are available at http://www.cheechandchongtour.com.

Comedy visionaries Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong announce their 2010 North American Tour, Cheech & Chong: Get It Legal, partnering with the Marijuana Policy Project (MPP) to promote policy change through laughter.

Cheech & Chong: Get It Legalis the follow-up to their hugely successful reunion tour, Cheech & Chong: Light Up America, where they performed together for the first time in over 25 years, including three sell-out performance at the Majestic Theatre. Their film Hey, Watch This!, filmed by the Weinstein Company during those San Antonio dates, was released on 4/20 this year. Recommended for mature audiences.

Rock concert scene to test laws of physics at new Gravity Bar

Jay Nanda
* San Antonio Metal Music Examiner

The approximately 2 1/2-year tenure of Scout Bar on San Antonio's North side has officially ended. But there's no need to fret for hard rock and heavy metal concertgoers searching for a replacement. The venue's loss has become Gravity Bar's gain. And bands are already being lined up to take the stage before 2010 comes to an end as well.

Small Changes

Over the next couple of months, we'll be making some small changes in lieu of the New Year.

At this point the Schedule and Blog are, and always have been, the most important part of this site.

The other pages we'll be working with in a couple of months, so please bear with us!

Also please note; the banners on the right-hand column on the blog are CURRENT SPONSORS of the site only. Exceptions would be people like Scarcliff Photography who linked up with us...

(I'd like to see about doing the same with other resources ie: Texas Music Coalition, etc. Anyone who is interested is welcomed to swap links permanently)

Ok that's about it for now, have a great Tday!

Giving Thanks at The Korova, Wednesday Nov. 24th
