Manuel Castillo: The Painting of a Community. Thurs, March 31st

Join us for the opening of our newest exhibition at the Museo Alameda, "Manuel Castillo: The Painting of a Community." The exhibition will pay tribute to the late visionary and founder of San Anto Cultural Arts and its Westside Mural Project. It will also bring together past and present muralists who have, since 1996, used their talents to beautify and brighten the Westside. The exhibition will offer a window into the life of Manuel Castillo, the bonds he shared with each of the San Anto muralists, and the impact he made on our San Antonio community. Opening Reception: Thursday March 31, 2011 from 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Performances by Glorium, Snowbyrd, Sexto Sol and DJ JJ Lopez. The event is free and open to the public.
