Destruction Evolution, with Sinatra, Ibanez and their three band mates Chris Peng, Jim Littleton and Donnie Nall, who recently performed on San Antonio’s Fox TV 29, is featured on the new GI Jams Compilation Album, Vol 1: ‘The Original Music of Our Military Artists’ with two of their tracks “Relentless” and “Greatest of Things.”
GI Jams, Vol 1 contains 14 tracks and 2 videos by eight of the site’s most popular artists and bands (five still on active duty), all of whom performed live last November at the GI Jams Veterans Day Weekend Show at The Cannery & Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
Destruction Evolution has been invited to participate in the Lackland Air Force Base Graduation Weekend (July 14-16) for new airmen finishing their basic training and will have a table at the Lackland Base Exchange (BX) where they will be selling autographed copies of the GI Jams album.
GI Jams and its web site GIJams.com were created by hit songwriters Denny Randell and Biddy Schippers and launched in November 2009 with much fanfare among mainstream and military media, including CNBC, MSNBC, Forbes, Billboard.biz and Top 40 Charts and top military newspapers, Stars and Stripes and Military Times and Dept Of Defense News.
The site provides the opportunity for military musical artists, active and retired, all branches, ranks and rates, to sign up and have their own profile pages, featuring bios, pictures, blogs and original songs available for 99 cents a download, with 100 percent of the download profits on the site going to the military artists. GI Jams supporters can also sign up and communicate with, “friend” and support the artists.
Writer/ producer /artists Randell and Schippers, GI Jams Co-Directors, have a wealth of history in many facets of the music industry. Randell, a renowned songwriter, and arranger/ programmer has had over 45 of his songs reach the Billboard national charts, including “Working My Way Back To You” by The Four Seasons and The Spinners, “A Lover’s Concerto” by The Toys, “Native New Yorker” by Odyssey (which was featured on Sex and the City on HBO
Schippers is a songwriter, producer, artist and programmer who has had international chart successes and together with Randell are the composers, artist and producers of dance hits in the U.S. and UK, which Allmusic.com refers to as “club staples.” Their most recent also reached Top Ten on the Yahoo Video Charts and was featured on video sites worldwide.
GI Jams writer/artists will also now have the opportunity to have their songs represented through a just completed GI Jams/EMI Music pact and Destruction Evolution is one of the bands whose songs are now administrated and promoted world-wide through GI Jams by EMI Music Publishing Company, the world’s largest music publisher.
