Benefit Show at Full Throttle, Saturday Sept. 10th

Fr: Sue Sin

The Walker family of Bastrop, The father lost his job earlier this year when he left to help his mother who was dying of cancer. She passed on, and was left with only momentos of his mothers life, to take home to Bastrop, TX. His Wife (my cousin) works full time as a floor manager/ Nurse in her local hospital, as well as goes to school full time for her masters. They have two beautiful children, the boy is 13, and the girl is 9, both of whom are happy, intelligent kids. Their home, vehicle, motorcycle, momentos, photographs, documents, electronics, everything, were ravaged by wildfires Sunday. They are staying with my Aunt whom of which already has my other cousin, his wife and kids there. As well as their family , they have taken in another family who has lost their home in Bastrop Texas. There are essentially 4 family units now forced to live under one roof and they have to eat, just as we all do. In addition to this madness, My cousin's Father and his new wife are displaced as well and are staying at another cousins home. They are the Alexander family.

Stories like this are popping up all over the heart of Texas today as the firs blaze with 0% containment.

For these four familys who are now making one of the biggest life adjustments they have ever had to face. All proceeds from the door will go to the new Walker household to afford them a little to get by on. We will also be accepting donations at the door for items such as Soap, shampoo, tooth brushes, toothpaste, non perishables, food and water to be taken to area drop offs in the ATX region to be distributed to families displaced by these ravenous fires that are just demolishing peoples livlihoods. I am raiding the pantry, and finding good, (in good condition) clothing items to donate, as well as toys from my daughter.

Please help us this Saturday in unity and support, to show Texans what TEXAS is all about.

Thank you,

Sue Sin
