Glow in the Sun's Digital Album Release (LIVE tonight at The Falls!)

Glow In The Sun @ 11PM!

Hello Everyone,
We are proud to announce the digital release of our new music. We worked with World Renowned Producer Gordon Raphael (The Strokes/Regina Spector) at Mecca Studios in San Antonio, Texas.

We spent 5 days locked away in a studio to present our newest compositions. Long hours were spent honing the potential of this album. We made sure to capture the essence of what this band is about at this moment in our lives. This is a proud day for us as a band. We are eager to bring this album to you. Please direct your browsers to our bandcamp site located at:
Linkwww.glowinthesun.bandcamp.com/album/glow-in-the-sun-2

This time around we decided to provide you with more of a reason to buy our album. Included in the $5 dollars that you spend for this album are:

1. All 6 Brand New Songs Recorded with Gordon at Mecca Studios
2. Full Album Linear Notes
3. PDF Lyric Booklet
4. 4 photos, 1 of each band member at one of our local shows
5. 3 unreleased songs

As you can see, you get quite a bit of stuff for only $5. Please come and listen to our new sound and help us fund the release of a physical CD. We can not do it without the help of our fans. You have been great to us so far, so lets keep this love spreading!

We also understand that times are tough. If you can not afford to buy the album yet, we have allowed for you to be able to get the new songs. If you go to our bandcamp site and open each song individually by clicking on the song names, you can download them. You won't receive any of the extra goodies, but you will have a new Glow In The Sun album.

If you choose to download the album for free please help us by spreading the music around. You can burn CD's to pass out, post it to your favorite blogs, write some comments about us on facebook, tell your friends, or anything else you may be able to think about that helps someone knew to find out about us. We want everyone to hear this album so spread it around!

Here is a video link to check out an amazing video we are a part of. If you search around the site a little bit, you might be able to find a full concert of ours along with interviews!

Thank you again for taking the time to listen and support this band. With your help, we can continue this long musical journey ahead of us.

Taco Land Update

Rumors of Taco Land reopening as an ice house - Music - San Antonio Current

Taco Land as an ice-house with Billy Bob Thornton strumming madly in the corner? That was the essence of a recent Facebook post at Keep San Antonio Lame backed by “several reliable sources.” The “semi-official if not fully confirmed” scoop suggested that developer David M. Adelman and actor Ricardo Chavira (Desperate Housewives) own the old Taco Land property (true), and that it was “entirely possible but not confirmed” that the venue would reopen in December 2011 or January 2012 as “The Grayson St. Ice House” with Billy Bob Thornton’s band booked as the inaugural act. The lead was specific enough to prompt Sound & Fury to track down David Reyes, Chavira’s publicist, who said that while Chavira is a member of the company that owns the property (Taco Land Studios, LLC), all that ice-house business isn’t true.

“The property has not been leased out to anybody, and there are no plans to open the so-called Grayson St. Ice House,” Reyes said Monday during a phone interview. “I don’t know where that came from.” But is it possible there had been talks about this, and that’s where the rumors started? “No, I’ve never heard anything, and Ricardo hasn’t either,” he said. “It’s just a very interesting property and people like to talk. But everything’s in the air right now.”

Speak, Final Exam and Disco Wasteland at The Korova, Sat. June 4th

"Pay attention to SPEAK. The Austin electro-pop quartet — Troupe Gammage (vocals, keyboards, electronics), Nick Hurt (guitar), Jake Delahoussaye (bass) and Jake Stewart (drums) — last year was named “Best New Band” at the Austin Music Awards. The band’s EP, “Hear Here,” opened ears with its energy, its undeniably catchy dance rhythms and lyrics that aren’t just throwaway lines or clichés designed to get a dance floor rise during booty-shaking sessions. SPEAK actually has something to say, sometimes via falsetto vocals, on songs such as “Carrie (Mindfull)” and “Stand by Us.” And, if you’re keeping track of Texas music family trees, Troupe Gammage’s dad is Ernie “Sky” Gammage of Plum Nelly and Ernie Sky & the K-TELS. His mom is vocalist deluxe, singer and songwriter Christine Albert."
