Pop Pistol re-release their first album on wax!
San Antonio, TX - After two months of fundraising, and another couple months assembling the pieces to the package, Pop Pistol is proud to present their latest artifact, their 2008 full-length album Angelus in LP record format. The goal was reached with the help of 100 pre-orders, and the date has been set for Wednesday, April 25 at Hogwild Records for a pick-up/ listening and release party. The all ages free event runs from 6:30pm - 8:30pm.
San Antonio’s atmospheric rock trio has recently been described by San Antonio Express News Arts and Music Editor Jim Beal as having a “work ethic that would frighten a tractor.” Within the last two months, Pop Pistol ran a gauntlet of back-to-back shows including several showcases, opened for multiple international acts, was named Best Indie Rock Band by SA Current readers, was featured on the cover of Ignite Magazine, and helped coordinate the Local 782 campaign behind Local Music Week. The band is currently engineering and producing the recording of their second full length album entirely on their own. This spring, they make a long standing dream come true by re-releasing their first album on vinyl. This is a limited edition 300 run of Angelus and will be available in San Antonio exclusively at Hogwild Records and the band’s shows. The record is being self-released after a couple months raising funds through pre-orders.

The preorder pick-up/ public listening and release party will be held at Hogwild Records (1824 North Main) on Wednesday, April 25 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. There will be snacks and refreshments, plus the guys will be hanging out to sign copies.
