Chile based Chico Trujillo has evolved in to one of the most popular
bands in South America, blending a sound of classic cumbia and boleros with a
hint of gypsy Balkan horns and a tinge of reggae. French-Chilean artist Ana Tijoux, has a unique
sound that mixes hip-hop with mainstream Latin pop. Her newest release, La
Bala, quickly topped the charts of iTunes Latino and is already being
mentioned on best lists of 2012.
