Nicolette Good sweeps New Folk and Wildflower Songwriting Competitions
San Antonio singer-songwriter Nicolette Good has been chosen as a winner in both the Grassy Hill Kerrville New Folk Competition and the Wildflower! Performing Songwriter Competition, turning heads with a voice that’s been called “pure ear candy” by the San Antonio Current.
Good was one of six New Folk winners
chosen from among 30 finalists and nearly 600 applications from all
over the world. She performed two songs,
“Hurricane Caroline” and “Call Me,” during the Kerrville Folk Festival’s opening weekend, both of which will appear
on her upcoming album, “Monarch,” which is set for a July release.
During the Wildflower competition in
Richardson, Good was among four winners chosen for her performance of
“Pretty Clementine” and “The Road,” also included on the upcoming “Monarch.” Good
also advanced to the final round during the Songwriter Serenade Competition held in Moravia, Texas on May 5 and won honorable mention in American Songwriter’s Lyric Contest
In addition to her accolades, Good
has been featured on Troubador, TX, a nationally-syndicated television
show featuring some of the best songwriters and performers in Texas.
