Nicolette Good sweeps New Folk and Wildflower Songwriting Competitions

San Antonio singer-songwriter Nicolette Good has been chosen as a winner in both the Grassy Hill Kerrville New Folk Competition and the Wildflower! Performing Songwriter Competition, turning heads with a voice that’s been called “pure ear candy” by the San Antonio Current

Good was one of six New Folk winners chosen from among 30 finalists and nearly 600 applications from all over the world. She performed two songs, “Hurricane Caroline” and “Call Me,” during the Kerrville Folk Festival’s opening weekend, both of which will appear on her upcoming album, “Monarch,” which is set for a July release.

During the Wildflower competition in Richardson, Good was among four winners chosen for her performance of “Pretty Clementine” and “The Road,” also included on the upcoming “Monarch.” Good also advanced to the final round during the Songwriter Serenade Competition held in Moravia, Texas on May 5 and won honorable mention in American Songwriter’s Lyric Contest

In addition to her accolades, Good has been featured on Troubador, TX, a nationally-syndicated television show featuring some of the best songwriters and performers in Texas.
