Since sharing a bill in 2009, Ian Moore and the members of Buttercup have been in close contact, performing shows around the country and developing a deep, but charming musical rapport.
“It was a natural fit. Ian’s music is heading in a more pop direction, which is Buttercup’s territory, and, both being from Texas, our sounds have a sense of swing and grit that can’t be contrived.” says Buttercup guitarist, Joe Reyes.
Ian mentioned in an interview with the Vashon Loop, “These guys hail from San Antonio and represent the intelligence and gentility of Texas; traits which are often overlooked when looking at the state’s arts.”
Ian will be performing as an acoustic duo with Kullen Fuchs on keyboard and accordion. Buttercup will be featuring Emilio Navaira Jr. on drums, son of Tejano legend Emilio Navaira.
Ian Moore is a world-class guitarist and a critically-acclaimed singer/songwriter. He has performed with Bob Dylan, been a support act for the Rolling Stones and appeared in the movie Sling Blade. Buttercup have been producing quality original music for over 10 years, with a string of eclectic recordings.
