PACHANGA LATINO MUSIC FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES FIRST ROUND OF TALENT FOR 7th ANNUAL FESTIVAL

(Austin, TX) – The Pachanga Latino Music Festival, a Latin-themed music, cultural arts and food festival, announced today the initial talent lineup for the 2014 festival, which will mark its seventh year. 

The festival will take place on Saturday, May 10 at Fiesta Gardens in Austin, Texas. A limited number of discounted tickets for the event will go on sale on February 21, 2014, at pachangafest.com.

Pachanga is a unique festival dedicated to showcasing Latin artists within a wide range of musical genres and styles that range from traditional to contemporary and include rock, alternative, cumbia, electronic, hip-hop, and indie. This year’s event features an array of acclaimed performers from around the globe and across the US.

Artists confirmed for the 2014 festival roster include:

Five-time Latin Grammy Award-winning Latin rock superstar Julieta Venegas, Mexican rock-fusion band El Gran Silencio, 2014 Grammy Award-winning Latin-alternative quartet La Santa Cecilia, 2013 Latin Grammy Awards’ “Best New Artist” Gaby Moreno, Alt-rock Venezuelan group and 2013 Latin Grammy winners for “Best Rock Album” La Vida Bohème, Cumbia dance quartet Sonido San Francisco, Mexican female rapper Niña Dioz, Austin’s own Latin rock band Del Castillo, Brooklyn psychedelic cumbia masters Chicha Libre, and four-piece Latin alternative fusion group Making Movies.

Some of the featured past entertainment included Calle 13, Intocable, Los Lobos, Los Lonely Boys, Ozomatli, Bomba Estereo, and more.


“We are thrilled about this mix of international acts as well as the talent from across the US,” says festival producer Rich Garza, “Top to bottom, this is an exciting bill and the acclaim some of these acts are getting here and abroad demonstrates that.”

For entrance to this year’s Pachanga Festival, all patrons must purchase a general admission ticket. The regular G.A. ticket price is $33, but a limited number of “Pachanga Ganga” $26 tickets will go on sale February 21 at 10 a.m. CST. A separate pass for access to festival VIP area will go on sale in March.
