"After more than a year of planning and organizing, Palo Alto College is establishing its Center for Mexican American Studies.
A grand opening celebration is set for 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the central courtyard of the college, 1400 W. Villaret, near the intersection of Loop 410 and Texas 16.

larger and more valued cultural awareness at Palo Alto College,” said

students and our community to provide quality events and education to
nurture this culture and keep it present in San Antonio.”

community colleges statewide. It was formally approved in 2013 to
