-International arts organization transforms Backstage Live with an explosion of fashion, art, dance, film and music; adding a sprinkle of West Coast flair to San Antonio night scene
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS - RAW: natural born artists returns to downtown San Antonio on Thursday, March 27th – Presents Mosaic featuring over 30+ talented artists covering several artistic mediums.
RAW produces monthly showcases in over 72 cities in the United States, with locations in Australia, Canada, the UK and creates a worldwide platform for local artists that provide tools and resources to advance their careers while entertaining event goers.
Mosaic will highlight San Antonio’s musical performances by singer/songwriter Delvin Sirleaf, rock band Kindred and soul-folk songstress, Bekah Kelso & The Fellas who was San Antonio Currents 2013 Solo Artist of the Year/Album of the Year and was awarded Best Singer/Songwriter, Best Song at the San Antonio Music Awards in 2013. Film screening by Rogelio Salinas III; Performances by the multidisciplinary theatre company Matari Productions and Burlesque Performer Saterra Rene. Hair & Makeup Artistry featuring Raul Lopez, Amanda Beth and Jenna De La Vega. Apparel/Accessories by Tanya Karakashian, Casas Ink and Anna Cypher Jewelry Collections.
Live body painting by Shauna Burns; Local visual featuring legendary artist Adan Hernandez, Richard Miera, Candice Brown, Sarah Janece Garcia, G. Tomas Vasquez, Jennifer Hinojosa, Wayne Frost, Daniel Aguinaga, Girlies cupcakes by Aurora Garza-Alvarado, Justin French, Henry Keller, Kimberly Villarreal, Bjorn Sjogren, Antonio Gomez, Miro Ramirez and Parker Radbourne. Closing the night will be our runway show that will feature Toni Jackson’s House of Krimson, Fizzy Baby Resort & Beachwear by Michelle Romero, Hair Styling by Raul Lopez, Chasity Taylor and Makeup Artistry by Amanda Beth.
As always our evening will be highlighted with high-energy blends of dance music by DJ Fuzion and hosted by local host/singer songwriter, Jeannette Muniz of 91.7FM KRTU Live, who will be the face of RAW for these monthly showcases. Gracing our presence will be San Antonio’s award winning mobile food truck, Chela’s Tacos. The doors will open at 7:00 pm and the event will start promptly at 7:30pm with live entertainment all night long. Cocktail attire is required.
