HipHop 101 Presents: "SUCIO BEATS" emcee Open Mic. at The Korova, Monday April 7th

"The weekly series "Hip Hop 101" has changed venues but school is still in session! Come let resident DJ Pakman drop aural knowledge with his selections on the turntables while aerosol artist Nik Soupe and others display their skills live throughout the night. This session will also feature an emcee "open mic" with live back tracks provided by SUCIO BEATS.

SUCIO BEATS is spearheaded by Jorge G. and George G., rhythm section of San Anto rock group Pop Pistol. They'll be providing the instrumental back beat for the 40 minute set and invite emcees/poets/writers to share a verse or freestyle. The beats will be both familiar and improv but steady enough for anyone to catch the ride. Come share your skills in this collaboration!"
