ROSIE FLORES LIVE at Sam’s Burger Joint Monday, August 18th

Beginning in the late 70s with her rockabilly punk band the Screamin' Sirens, Rosie Flores has been crafting a pioneering career in the roots underground.  She was an integral part of the LA New Traditionalist scene that gave rise to Dwight Yoakum and Los Lobos, toured with Flatlander Butch Hancock, recorded with Ray Campi, and rockabilly and riot grrl icons Janis Martin and recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Wanda Jackson.

Raucous and rebellious collection of songs… Rosie slays all comers and proves why she remains one of the most entertaining, energetic, and influential female guitar players around today. – Saving Country Music

Flores is a mighty fine singer; at times she channels Liz Phair and the Breeders’ Kim Deal as much as Wanda Jackson and Loretta Lynn. The real star of the show is her sizzling guitar prowess. The album’s strongest moments come when she lets her fingers do the rocking. – PopDose

She is just as convincing vocally as instrumentally. This Working Girl's Guitar is in top form here.” Exclaim.ca

Flores can belt with the best of ‘em and wields her token blue guitar with deadly precision… Flores is an all-around force. – Oxford American

“Working Girl’s Guitar” is perhaps the perfect title for a new single/album from the boppin’ singer/guitarist Rosie Flores, who shows that girls can rock with an axe as good as the boys… The title tune may as well be Flores’ bio as she tells the story of her life from the vantage point of her guitar. – Pop Matters
