Longtime friend and caregiver Azeneth Dominguez was at the side of the legendary, genre-defying accordionist when he died from complications of liver cancer at his South San Joaquin Avenue residence late on Aug. 13.
He was 71.
“I helped him cross over,” said Dominguez, owner of Saluté International Bar on the St. Mary's Strip where Jordan had a longstanding Friday night gig. “I felt very privileged.”
