Pillow Talk 7" Record Release Show w/ Cartographers & Brandon Cunningham at The Ten Eleven Eleven, Friday Oct. 21

"Texas Is Funny Records is proud to present the release of "Faux Fur," the debut EP by San Antonio/Austin based Indie-Country band Pillow Talk. The show will take place at The Ten Eleven, San Antonio's DIY all ages venue, with supporting performances by Brandon Cunningham and Cartographers.

10:00 p.m.: Brandon Cunningham - When you first take a listen to Brandon Cunningham, it is obvious that there is something special to his mu
sic. Blending the influences of Mumford & Sons, Bright Eyes, and Bon Iver in his sound, Mr. Cunningham's music is a hidden gem in the San Antonio music scene. Don't miss the chance to catch this talented young man and his band as they kick off the night.

11:00 p.m.: Cartographers - These guys are - hands down - one of the best bands in San Antonio. Jackson Albracht is one of the wittiest songwriters and with his fellow bandmates, their music is guaranteed to have you cutting a rug. For the past two months, The Cartographers have locked themselves away in order to record new material for their upcoming album, which we are looking forward to hearing come the night of the show.

12:00 p.m.: Pillow Talk - Texas is Funny Records signed Pillow Talk for one reason: we consider Jerid Reed Morris one of the best songwriters we know. We have been a fan of his former band Stegosaur and even though the styles are not similar, Morris's most recent work continues to exemplify two specific characteristics that has given Pillow Talk his signature touch: outstanding lyrics and catchy melodies. With roots stretched across a wide spectrum of influences, including Bob Wills and Cap'n Jazz, Pillow Talk manages to create a unique sound that is both heartwarming and melodramatic to the listener.

The show is all ages and costs $5 to get in. Pre-orders for the album before the record release are available at www.texasisfunny.com. Individuals can also stream songs from "Faux Fur" at www.texasisfunnyrecords.bandcamp.com
