Wiretree, Blackbird Sing & Carly Garza at Boneshakers, Friday Oct. 7th

21+, $5

Wiretree:
Review 2011- Echoes can be heard of everything from vintage ‘60s pop-sike and Velvet Underground-esque choogle to paisley underground-tinted ‘80s stylings and latterday indie rock with a distinctive anthemic edge. There's an urgency afoot in the Wiretree music, and a naked honesty as well.

Blackbird Sing:
Is the brainchild of singer songwriter Robert Vito Salinas, former frontman of the now defunct Indie-pop punk band Dieboy. Initially started as a solo project, the inevitable musical connection between family and friends gave way to forming a full on band. Vito backed completely by Southern Hardcore band Madex-13, became Blackbird Sing. Hailing from San Antonio the music can be described as Indie, Folk, Rock, and Texicana. Blackbird Sing is a complete musical departure from the all previous projects and they share songs about life, love, poetry, and the such.

Carly Garza:
Comes from a musical family. Her mother, Terry Garza, plays guitar and sings. Her dad and grandfather were both drummers. She is following in their footsteps. Previously, she played drums and sang lead in Blue Means Go. Carly is now working on her own music and primarily sings and plays guitar & ukulele.
