SAN ANTONIO B-CYCLE LAUNCHES MISSION REACH EXPANSION WITH FIVE NEW STATION


B-Cycle, San Antonio's bikeshare program, is pleased to announce their Mission Reach Expansion launching this Friday, November 16 with B-Cycle President, Bob Burns. 

Funded by the Paul S. Sarbanes Transit in Parks Program federal grant, B-Cycle's Mission Trail will allow locals and visitors to bike from downtown to the four missions with five new stations at Roosevelt Park, Concepcion Park, Mission Concepcion, Mission San Jose, Mission Road (Street Connection) and VFW Boulevard (River Access).

B-cycle is a next-generation bike sharing system that allows San Antonians to swipe their card, grab a bike and get where they're going with ease and efficiency. Bike sharing not only reduces traffic congestion and carbon emission, but can improve users health as well.

WHO:           Bob Burns is the President of B-cycle and a 17-year bicycle industry veteran.  Bob proudly oversaw the launch of the first B-cycle system in Denver in 2010, and has launched 14 more cities, including San Antonio since.

ABOUT SAN ANTONIO B-CYCLE
B-cycle is a next-generation bike-sharing program that currently has 30 B-Stations in San Antonio including stations at Pearl Brewery, Alamo Plaza and the Convention Center. With over 250 bikes for use, San Antonio is the second busiest B-Cycle program in the nation. B-Cycle allows members to sign up online or purchase a 24-hour membership, choose a bike from any B-station, ride the bike to the destination and return the bike at any B-station.
