The River City Stompers is a traditional Dixieland band that focuses primarily on the musical canon of 1920s Jazz.
Led by clarinetist and singer Pierre Poree – A native New Orleanian, Poree relocated to San Antonio in 2005 - the River City Stompers offer a classic take on the Jazz of the Dixieland era. The band plays with an enthusiasm and stylishness that pays tribute to the golden era of pre-WWII Jazz. Inspiringly fresh while remaining warmly nostalgic, The River City Stompers appeal to a wide audience demographic.
The group is adaptable from six to three pieces and incorporates an authentic Dixieland instrumentation of clarinet, banjo, trumpet, bass, piano, and drums for a vintage entertainment experience.
