Taco Land Re-Development Story

"We're going to have tables down on the Riverwalk for patrons to dine"....? Doesn't he know that, as far as true Taco Landers are concerned, that riverbank was for pissin' and throwin' your beercans?!?! We train on beer and pu**y, MF!"

-My friend's reaction, and yes my tummy hurts from laughing, God bless you JC!-

Yes, yet more news on the demise and 're-birth' of Taco Land...

One would wonder, for instance, Ram himself, "Sunshine", Doug, their friends, family and loyal patrons, for starters, what their reaction would be; their opinion, their discontent (or content) and thoughts throughout this whole, insane process?

Google this and be prepared to be utterly confused, dismayed, indifferent or outraged; in the end it's all the same.

No Ram, no Taco Land.

TACO LAND STORIES ON BLOGGER

"SAN ANTONIO -- Taco Land, once famous for its live music, large oak tree, colorful artwork, and charismatic owner Ramiro "Ram" Ayala will soon reopen.

Taco Land was left deserted after the murders of Ayala and doorman Doug Morgan back in 2005.

Thursday City Council approved a lease to allow Taco Land developers to rent out the land adjacent to the venue.

"We'll have a path that actually connects to the River Walk itself," said David Adelman, a partner in the Taco Land ownership group.

Adelman said people will be able to dine, drink and enjoy live acoustic music. Adelman went on to say the ownership group is dedicated to preserving the Taco Land legacy.

"We're literally saving every brick and every stone that we've pulled out of here," said Adelman.

Taco Land is expected to open this spring, most likely in March."
