Band to celebrate his birthday earlier this week and make a San
Antonio gig. One of the most tasteful blues guitarists anywhere,
Vaughan, a founding member of the Fabulous Thunderbirds, plays with
soul, passion and groove. With collaborators including Lou Ann Barton
(a guest at the show), Vaughan of late has been paying tribute to the
blues, swamp pop and country purveyors who paved the way with albums
including “Plays Blues, Ballads & Favorites” and “Plays More Blues,
Ballads & Favorites.”
