Bite Lip Bleed Launches First EP at Hi-Tones, Friday June 28th

"Bite Lip Bleed is very excited to announce the release of their first record "Settle For a Funeral" - a heavy, fast, and energetic five song EP - at one of San Antonio's favorite local drinking and music listening spots, Hi-tones. The release is presented through Mitote Records, a newer local imprint label that includes Langton Drive, Pop Pistol, and Secrets & Irises on their roster. Ages to this event will be limited to 21 and up, and cover will be $3. Joining the line up in support will be brand new ska/jazz band Rat King Cole, veterans to the San Antonio music scene Viet-Ruse, and Mitote Records label mates Pop Pistol. The release will be kicking off at 10:00 p.m. and will continue until 2:00 a.m.
Bite Lip Bleed is a female led ska/punk band originally formed as a garage punk quartet, and eventually evolving into a furious mix of punk, traditional ska, reggae, and rock-steady among some indie and folk influences. Founded by singer Jen Cavazos (formerly of Kevin Goes 2 College) and guitarist Juan Luna (formerly with Silent Minority), Bite Lip Bleed is now a septet including members of other local acts such as The Lost Project, Kevin Goes 2 College, and horn players from local ska legends, Spies Like Us. With this EP Bite Lip Bleed plans to hit the road and go on a two week west coast tour for the first time, hitting the smallest towns and largest of cities.

The official release date of Bite Lip Bleed's EP "Settle For a Funeral" will be June 28th at local venue, Hi-tones, located at 621 E. Dewey, San Antonio, Texas, 78212. Cover will be $3, and entry will be limited to ages 21 and over. Bite Lip Bleed will have new merchandise available at the event, including shirts, stickers, posters, buttons, and the new record."
