Amalgam Mode

In hopes of a larger music scene, Rhonda Williams (drums), Nicholas Harper (vocals), Abel Cruz(bass), and Monica Moreno(guitar), after being in Amalgam Mode together for a year, decided to move from the Kingsville, Texas area to San Antonio, Texas in early July of 2005.

Amalgam Mode is no stranger to the stage or music scene having played at over a dozen venues in Texas region: The White Rabbit, Atomix, Jack’s Patio Bar and Grill, Tycoon Flatts, Snap’s Skate Shop (San Antonio); The Flightline, TAMU-Kingsville’s “7th Annual Mesquite Groove” (Kingsville); The Downtown Riot (Alice); Equal Eyes, Zero’s, The Underground, Graham’s Central Station (Corpus Christi); The Hot Spot (Seguin). Amalgam Mode won first place in the 2005 Battle of the Bands sponsored by TAMU-Kingsville; in addition, we have played New Year’s parties, birthday parties, and a prom.

Amalgam Mode weaves melodies with dynamic intensity in crescendos that are indefinable. Ranging from influences of punk, rock, screamo, post-hardcore, and alternative, Amalgam Mode has birthed a sound that is its own. Only in seeing the pulsating energy of a live show can one feel the honest passion and appreciation for the music produced. Check out our page at www.myspace.com/amalgammode. We are looking for bands to book with and management.
