Last weekend saw IRIS at Buc O’Brian’s on Friday and Booze Hounds last Saturday. Let's recap:
Buc O’Brian’s is located in Fredericksburg and while the band is from San Antonio they don’t mind the short drive. There are a lot of people in the hill country who like to rock so cheers for Buc O’Brian’s for booking the hottest band around. The highlight of the evening was the birthday celebration that a group of girls were having. During a dance number the birthday girl (who had one too many drinks) fell down and lost her pants and everything else below her waistline. IRIS appreciated the view but they sincerely hope her recovery was a smooth one. Happy 21st birthday!!
The following night IRIS packed them in at Booze Hounds. While there was another birthday celebration this one was a little tamer - Samara, a waitress at Booze Hounds, was celebrating her birthday. The owner went all out and provided plenty of food. As for the rest of the crowd they went nuts and danced the night away. The Booze Hounds staff had nothing but the greatest compliments for the band. Here was a statement from the bartender “Not only does IRIS have great musicians and an excellent song selection but they can get the crowd dancing and into the music…IRIS is one of the best bands around.”
