This Week at Luna

from Luna Fine Music Club:

Tonight - WED 3/1 - HUMP DAY BLUES REVUE w/ Batman Chevy
2 FOR 1 COVER, FREE W/ COLLEGE ID, DRINK SPECIALS ALL NIGHT
It's Blues every Wednesday night @ LUNA. Come check out the most exciting new Blues Trio to hit the scene. These guys might actually live dark and depressed lives. That's how good they play the Blues!! This is not your every day watered down Blues that sounds more like rock than anything. It's the real deal Chicago style sound. Very clean and soulful stuff. Check out Batman Chevy every Wednesday at LUNA.

THUR 3/2 - JAKE OWEN PROJECT / SPURS vs MAVS
ECLECTIC MODERN JAZZ
This Thursday, the very hip and modern jazz sounds of the Jake Owen Project will be moving into LUNA and to show we understand the appeal of the big Spurs / Mavs game, we will be showing it on our plasma screen at the bar with a unique soundtrack provided by Jake Owen. Here's the kicker folks...Bring anything with the Spurs insignia on it and get in FREE.

FRI 3/3 - PLANET SOUL

CONTEMPORARY SOUL, JAZZ & R&B
Just leave it to Michelle Garibay and Planet Soul to kick off your weekend right. Their performances are like a big hearty stew of Soul, Jazz, Funk and R&B topped off with the sweet voice of Michelle Garibay. By far, one of the best voices in San Antonio, she can hit notes that you didn't even know existed. Always a favorite and always a good bet for weekend night out.

SAT 3/4 - CATAVENTO
BRAZILIAN , AFRO-CUBAN, FLAMENCO
Fans of Latin music can't go wrong with Catavento. They cover it all!! Going from very traditional Brazilian Sambas to Spanish Flamenco to Contemporary Latin grooves, this all acoustic Austin Quartet showcases the artistry and allure of music from Latin America and beyond. Vocalist Susanna Sharpe and Guitarists David and Christian frequently sing in 3 part harmonies which adds texture and color to their already intricate arrangments. It's great music and highly recommended.
