On Friday, August 18th, local mix masters, Bombasta, will be returning to the stage at Ruta Maya on the Riverwalk, in what is promising to be a unique and memorable show. Opening the night's performance will be El Paso's own Radio La Chusma, who's mix of reggae and Latin jazz is a perfect balance to Bombasta's horn driven cumbia-rocksteady-funk.

Friday's show is yet another example of Bombasta's resolve to continue networking with unique musical acts from around the state in the burgeoning Latin alternative genre. In their travels, Bombasta has been fortunate enough to develop a wide range of friends and collaborators- creating a cartel of creative, talented, high quality acts- ensuring that every Bombasta show offers the audience something new and different.

Bombasta has continually developed their unique musical mix of Spanglish politics and roots passion into a high energy show, with influences ranging from Cumbia Colombianas to Hip Hop Soul to Rocksteady Reggae. Proceeds from all summer Bombasta shows are being directed towards the recording process for their upcoming full length CD, due for release this the Fall.
